Yes there is significant investment in the O&G industry but more investment is needed in Hasakah and Deir ez Zor beyond just the oil industry. Namely, there needs to be modernization and efficiency improvements to the agricultural sector. On top of this of course there needs to be investments in the actual infrastructure that enables economic activity and growth in the first place. Too many people rely on generators due to the lack of a functioning grid. Hopefully there can be investments into solar for important government/community centers as well as the creation of microgrids for smaller communities which can’t expect to be connected to the wider grid for many years. https://x.com/NotWoofers/status/2084357544752091173 @Alder @AnonymousFred514
