Recently I read the Christian Nationalist Manifesto that Andrew Torba wrote. Among its contents are two laudable declarations: -”The nation does not exist to serve the economy. The economy exists to serve the nation. When efficiency conflicts with the preservation of our communities, efficiency loses. We will not sacrifice our people on the altar of the free market.” -”The doom-and-gloom novel heresy of dispensational Zionism has been a corrosive plague on the American church for over a century” because it leads to a foreign policy where endless war for the State Of Israel is promoted. But here’s the problem: he also says “America was founded as an Anglo-Protestant nation” and “today’s immigrants are not assimilating to an Anglo-Protestant culture”. Andrew: the fanatical Dispensationalists are Protestants, not Orthodox or Catholic. The neurotic domination of work, business, the economy, over our lives is fairly well known as the Protestant Work Ethic. He detests the right things, but he needs to have the courage to say that America can do better than Protestantism, the courage to look for better foundations with better fruits produced.
