Big Bear FOBBVCAM 5.19.26 in Big Bear Valley. The video opens with Shadow on the Simba Tree looking magnificent! He flies off and gets a stick and brings to the nest. Jackie is on the front porch vocalizing and the eaglets are squeeing. Shadow flies off everyone watches him - Luna begins to flap its wings wanting to fly after Shadow! Sandy & Luna's wingspan is about 6 feet across now - which is quite massive! They are about 7-9 pounds at just over 6 weeks of age. All of their energy intake is going towards feather growth, muscle & neurological development. They should be fully feathered by 8 weeks of age. Sandy & Luna will be spending more & more time exercising their wings by flapping (wingercising) and strengthening their pectoral muscles which are the ones needed for flight.
