Microsoft accuses Iran of attempting to influence US elections The Big Tech giant alleged Tehran is attempting to hack the account of a high-ranking US presidential campaign official using phishing, but stopped short of naming who was targeted. Also, Microsoft alleged an Iranian group has been creating websites that pose as US-based news sites. Iran’s United Nations mission denied it had plans to interfere or launch cyberattacks in the US presidential election. Same old accusations, new target country? #Iran
