So, I'm leaving Gab. Not happy about it but this is a time of choosing. When the founder/owner/ceo of Gab posts such as this, I can not choose to stay on this site. Mr. Torba says, correctly, that Israel is taking tax money from the USA. This is obviously true. But so are many, many other countries. We are stupidly borrowing money from China and at the same time giving them money in foreign aid. We give taxpayer money in foreign aid to many other countries. So why single out Israel? I do not know what is in Mr. Torba's heart regarding Israel and the Jewish people and I do not presume to guess. What I will say, though, is that posting things like this serves as fuel to the fire in those who most definitely do hate Jews. Coincidentally, these same people also profess hatred for many other people. This is and never has been "Christ-like." I am not without my own issues and I readily confess this. I have a rather extreme hatred for the evil that is the pseudo-religion of islam. This is, in my opinion, most definitely a difference with a distinction. I have no hatred for the people who are enslaved by islam. I pity them and hope and pray for their salvation. Jesus Christ is not and never has been about the hatred of people. Jesus Christ sacrificed Himself for all of us. It is our choice whether or not we accept this free gift. This includes all people, obviously. To say that Jews have rejected Christ and therefore are to be hated (and worse) is not Biblical and not Christ-like. We are born with the judgement of God already against us because of the sin nature that we inherit. Only by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior allows us to escape that judgement. Again, there is nothing special about Jews as people that sets them apart for some sort of special judgement. All have sinned and fallen short. Saying that Israel, as a state, as a political entity, is somehow different from any other country in the world and is disingenuous at best and an outright lie at worst. This so-called "anti-Zionism" is nothing more than a mental crutch for Jew hatred, a hatred and a bigotry that is un-Biblical and completely antithetical to the Christian faith. So, I am leaving Gab. And this is a time of choosing. I choose not to hate. I choose to align myself with Jesus Christ rather than Mr. Torba. @a has accused me of idolatry in my refusal to stand against Israel and its people. I would ask Mr. Torba to look at his works on this Earth, at Gab and what he is making of it, and to ask himself if this is not his idol. Have you, @a not built up treasure on Earth rather than treasure in Heaven? That is ultimately something that can only be answered by God. Choose wisely.
