Continuing on with the saga. Have had zero issues since July 22nd per the post below. Then today. Unit stopped again. Well, crap. Blew the fuse. Again. Poke and prod, look for shorted wires, check contactor coil, check wire continuity. Nothing. Then when reconnecting the bell wire hot lead to the contactor coil at the furnace controller board the end of the solid wire just fell off. Apparently it had been flexed far too many times before and was probably just barely hanging on. Stripped, tightened......0.47 amps is all I saw when the thermostat called for cooling. Always with the small stuff. Another lesson learned on a 100° day.
