Our culture tells us to trust our instincts, defend ourselves, and reject anyone who challenges us. God's wisdom points us in the opposite direction. A teachable heart is a mark of spiritual maturity. When we refuse loving correction, we aren't protecting ourselves; we're harming ourselves. Pride closes our ears, but humility opens the door to growth. God often uses His Word, faithful friends, pastors, and biblical counselors to expose blind spots we cannot see on our own. Reproof may be uncomfortable for a moment, but it is one of God's gracious tools to shape us into the likeness of Christ
