Words matter. They reveal the condition of the heart and often influence the course of our relationships. The tongue of a fool invites discipline, for it is characterized by pride, harshness, deception, and reckless speech. But wise words protect. They keep relationships. They de-escalate conflict. They reflect a heart that fears the Lord. Before you speak today ask yourself: • Are my words honest? • Are they caring? • Are they builders or tear-ers down? • Do they glorify Christ? Our talk is never neutral. It either reveals a wisdom that comes from walking with God, or a folly that comes from trusting ourselves. As the Lord changes our hearts, he changes our words.
