When there aren't any oxen, keeping a clean manger is simple. However, there will not be a harvest. Fruitful work is usually messy. Faithfulness necessitates effort, inconvenience, sacrifice, and, on occasion, extensive cleanup. This principle holds true in marriage. This is true in parenting. It's true in ministry. This principle is true in relationships. It is true in the ministry of assisting people to grow in Christ. Sometimes, in our desire to avoid messiness, we neglect the work that God has called us to do. The goal is not a spotless manger. The goal is to be faithful and trust God to produce the fruit.
