Good morning! This fall I spent some time in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, doing some remote canoeing and fishing. I had a wonderful trip. The first two pictures are from this fall. The picture of my canoe is from the spring. Last winter I restored a 1976 Mad River Kevlar canoe. It is quite lite. The decal I had made for the side says “Seeking Solitude”. I love being in God’s creation, in remote places. I see solitude as a place of quiet contemplation. Any time I am “in the wilderness” like this, the Lord feels very present. Getting away from regular routines often reveals things in our lives. God is so good! The fish is a Brook Trout. In Canada they call them Speckled Trout. They are my favorite. He is in fall spawning colors. God is such an amazing artist.
