Part of that agenda included tainting American Christians with this ridiculous teaching known as Dispensationalism. So now people think it's a "fulfillment of prophecy" that Israel is to be re-formed as a nation, and this event supposedly "re-started the prophetic clock" and set the stage for the beginning of the last days.
