According to this article, a road accident caused a motor cycle pillion passenger to be thrown into the river Wrye 45 years ago to the day that Nicola Bulley went missing. They state that his body wasn't discovered for two months so unsure as to why her partner says that he's 100% certain Nicola's body is not in the river.
