Ever wonder why the world system is so resistant to Christianity? Ironically, both reasons are realities; the first one’s blatantly obvious but the second one is a little more subtle. The blatantly obvious one can be found in the principle of John 3:19 (below) while the more subtle one lies in the fact of how people don’t necessarily think Jesus is some type of wacko or something but rather deep down inside that person knows better and is actually afraid of Him. That’s because they are inwardly threatened by a straightforward reality check. (Also, see Romans 1:20, below.) JOHN 3:19 (BSB) And this is the verdict: The Light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness rather than the Light because their deeds were evil. ROMANS 1:20 (BSB) For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from His workmanship, so that men are without excuse. Stuff like that is always ultimately remembered in private but odds are that will never be publicly admitted, though. Just give it time. Meanwhile, 100% of everything remains unaccounted for on the table and is still going to happen regardless. That never changes. 100% of everyone has a “forever” whether it’s “believed that way or not”. Tends to make one wonder why people gamble like that. None of it is a matter of arrogance but rather a matter of surety. One of the most loving things one person can do for another is to help that “another person” fly as high as possible in Jesus while giving thought to eternity at the same time. Everyone’s growing. Hopefully he or she is born again (or “born from above” – or “born anew” – John 3:3-6 – https://biblehub.com/greek/509.htm) by the time all is said and done in this little blip known as “physical life”. One either thinking there’s another way around that or if that’s discounted as “some meaningless thing” is irrelevant. Neither change anything in terms of ultimate outcome. JOHN 3:3-6 (BSB) Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.” “How can a man be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked. “Can he enter his mother’s womb a second time to be born?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh is born of flesh, but spirit is born of the Spirit.(”) ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** “The main thing is to make sure the main thing is the main thing because without that main thing, you’ve got no thing.” Forever’s a long time. Naturally, that “main thing” is the finished work of Jesus (2 Corinthians 13:5). EVERYONE needs a savior (1 John 1:8-10) since the evil of mankind runs so deep there’s absolutely NOTHING anyone in this fallen world can ever do to rectify it. 2 CORINTHIANS 13:5 (BSB) Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you—unless you fail the test? 1 JOHN 1:8-10 (BSB) If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us. https://biblehub.com/ For one to be labeled a “Christian” means that person is a “Christ follower”. (A note of caution here is how there’s a difference between imitating Jesus and trusting the finished work of Jesus.) (SIDE NOTE: The term “Christ” is a title, not a name. It means either “Anointed One” or “Messiah”. “Jesus” means “The LORD is salvation”.) (ANOTHER SIDE NOTE: Don’t forget that “LORD” (all caps) in the Old Testament is the HEBREW word. It’s a reference to “Yahweh”. By contrast, “Lord” in the New Testament is the GREEK word. It’s a reference to “Jesus”, which is the English translation of the word “Yeshua”. And yet, they are one in the same...but yet they are not...but yet they are one in same...but yet they are not...but...MORE MYSTERY TIME!)
