Onkyo, Pioneer, Sony, Marantz, Yamaha and Kenwood as well as many others (WILL HOPEFULLY) change their manufacturing process SOON!!! Computers have SLOTS to change components. Need 4k, no problem, pull the card and install 4k card. WHY is this NOT available in Home Theater? Even worse is the WiFi that has PLAGUED the entire world in PS3, PS4, XBOX, and lord knows how many Home theater receivers that CANNOT pull the defective WiFi out and replace it (NO CARD SLOT). Lightning or ANY problem and YOU are just STUCK with some product that you paid THOUSANDS for that cannot be repaired or UPDATED. Linux is actually the one company that SHOULD and Could produce some of the BEST home tech because of its ENCRYPTION TECH. The days of throwing away thousands of dollars and just buying another one ARE OVER! IF your company plans on surviving in the future, it would be to your advantage to START incorporating CARD SLOTS into your HOME THEATER RECEIVERS. Video cards, Wifi and Bluetooth as well as BIOS and RAM sticks ALL should be EASILY swapped via CARD SLOT to repair or even upgrade the component. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? This is NOT 1850 OR EVEN 1950.
