What is wrong with James Franklin? I just don't understand him or his staff. You run the ball down Illinois throat 60 yards from your own 10 yard line, they haven't been able to truly stop it and yet you start getting close to the red zone and you want to get fancy and stop doing what's been working the whole game? It makes absolutely NO sense. We should have had 49 points that game, full stop. Somebody with authority needs to go down to the gym and smack him on his bald head and tell him to get his head out of his arse. The other gripe I have is how everybody keeps talking up Drew Allar, where I personally haven't actually seen him really do anything remarkable. He's just another body on the field. He commands no presence and demonstrates no remarkable skills. I'd take Trace McSorley 1,000 times over Drew. After being saddle with Clifford at QB for 5 years like a plague, I had such high hopes for Drew, but now it seems he's just yet ANOTHER substandard QB for our program. Can only hope that he gets drafted this year and we get get Beau, who ironically wears Trace's #9 and plays a lot like Trace did, so I am quite hopeful for his future at Penn State. Until then, don't get your hopes up on Penn State accomplishing anything this year. I fully expect all the big schools to house us as always because Franklin & Co. can't win the games that matter in the Big 10.
