A major factor in our moving out to the country was that we wanted room for our kids to literally run around. One daughter, especially, was full of boundless energy, and often during homeschooling -- especially math -- my wife would tell her, "Why don't you take a break and run to the river and back a few times?" Today, she's all grown up and still filled with boundless energy, which she needs more than ever since she has young ones of her own, all of which inherited that energy. The other night she and her family were out to dinner at our place when she said to her oldest daughter, "Why don't you run out to the apple trees, do five burpees, and then see if you can race your brother back?" I call this painting, Wild Child, which is a good thing for children to be.
