Under that model, the estimated damage reaches 450,000 displaced jobs, $113–$150 billion in reduced GDP, and $19–$26 billion in associated federal revenue losses. These are modeled estimates, not confirmed layoffs. But behind every estimate is a factory order that never arrives, a small supplier that cuts a shift, and a town told to accept that “globalization” is inevitable.
