You might remember the video from Ukraine a couple months ago where a Russian soldier flanks a Ukrainian position, demands the surrender of two Ukies in the hole and, unable to get them to surrender, shoots them both. The guy who runs Max Velocity Tactical - a training outfit out of West Virginia - had written a good analysis of what was happening in the video. Actually, two write ups: one with a longer version of the video. Link below. If you're in to small unit tactics, really good reading. On the forum associated with the site, the actual Russian who does the shooting shows up a week ago and offers additional context about what was happening and how accurate the write up was (pretty accurate). You might have to ask for access to the forum, but the link is below. The Russian goes by Rus_Gun and, near as I can tell, really is the guy. Link to analysis: https://maxvelocitytactical.com/combat-video-analysis-long-version-russian-infantry-attack/ Link to forum where Russian adds his comments (might need to register): https://maxvelocitytactical.com/forums/topic/an-assessment-of-russian-performance-in-ukraine/ @TrevorGoodchild @kalogerosstilitis @chechenrapebrigade
