Sanctuary: Shattered Sun is an RTS I've been waiting on for a while, and is lauded as a proper successor to Supreme Commander. There are several FAF veterans working on it, and it has come a long way in the past few years of development. They finally launched a Kickstarter for it last month, and the community is pretty supportive. Personally, I was holding out for news about Linux support, but unfortunately it looks like they aren't planning on implementing a native Linux version. However, it looks like they're putting in effort to ensure that it works in Proton, so that's one positive.
