30 March 2026 Ode to Dezi the Freeman In wilds untamed and mountains high, Where freedom's call was loud and clear, There rode a man with heart aflame, Dezi the Freeman, of notorious fame. Born of the land, with courage true, He dared to challenge laws unjust, A sovereign knight, with vision bright, His tale a song of stubborn trust. The police, his foes, with badge and gun, Hounded him with relentless might, Yet Freeman stood, with courage true, Defending home and sacred right. Through courts and halls of justice passed, His voice cried out, an unheeded plea, A man against the system's might, His struggles long, his spirit free. In Porepunkah's shadowed glen, Three Jacks shot, a fateful day, Freeman's mark, a bitter end, For those who sought to take him away. Tipped off, by a dog, they came at last, To end his reign, to silence his voice, Police, drones, and hounds in pursuit, Found Freeman's hideaway, a subtle choice. Six months he roamed, a legend grown, Of freedom's fight and justice's flaw, Until the day when bullets roared, And Freeman fell, his battle drawn. Now hearts are heavy, spirits low, For those who saw his cause as true, Let not their hope or courage wane, For Freeman's fight is ever new. His legacy, a beacon bright, For those who dare to question why, The system's chains can be undone, With courage, hope, and sovereign sky. So raise your voices, let them sing, In tribute to a life well-lived, Dezi the Freeman, sovereign man, Your struggle lives, your memory thrives. - Bushy https://open.spotify.com/track/5PABUrmr8rdxD1l6Qk4Lhd
