Practice makes perfect! This gent really showcases the importance not of having a lot of tools, but knowing how to use the tools that you do have. No fancy "carving" hatchet. No collection of a dozen or more knives. I have to admit that as one who really appreciates rope craft, seeing him use that line to cinch down the planks was very nice.
