I'm a big believer in the use of rope around the homestead and woods, but it's easy to miss a way of using ropes if we're not applying those skills regularly.  I used to have to haul a lot of steel in the back of my truck, and lashing it down was fairly easy with some half-inch line.  FCA's technique using the chain links, though, would have been a lot simpler! I'm already seeing how the Blackwall Hitch and links would work wonderfully to stretch out a clothesline or shelter ridge when camping.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IV1iVzteyQ
