My family's land has flooded. Part of my Grandmother's home has collapsed. The foundations of my sister's pier and beam house have nearly washed away. My Mom's house is under the gun now and all roads in or out are either flooded or washed away completely. It's hard to articulate the level of devastation that will have been wrought here if it rains for another 24 hrs. Please pray for the Texas Hill Country. There have been many more deaths than what are currently being reported. Many children and many elderly have died. Many, many, more are unaccounted for and feared lost. We are a community of ranchers, farmers, vinyard keepers, mechanics, and small business owners. Most Hill Country communities are unusually self sufficient, insular, and unnacustomed to asking for help but, our pride be damned, we need help.
