In early times, a woman near Ephesus had a tapestry made for Our Lady's altar, but after having fallen into poverty, she was forced to sell the cloth to another Christian woman. On the Feast of the Assumption, the poor woman in sorrow asked the other if she could borrow the cloth for one day to adorn Our Lady's altar.
