Science did not emerge from a vacuum, and it did not arise from a worldview that treated the material world as an illusion, a trap, or a god. Science presupposes that reality is ordered, intelligible, and worth investigating; that causes are consistent, that truth exists, and that the human mind is capable of grasping it. Those assumptions are not scientific conclusions. They are metaphysical commitments. And they came from Christianity. Every system today that claims to value reason, universal truth, human dignity, or scientific inquiry is borrowing from that foundation, whether it admits it or not. Buddhism, secular humanism, materialism, even atheism can all operate within a Christ-shaped world because they inherit its categories. They assume meaning without grounding it, order without explaining it, and moral obligation without a source. Christianity can absorb science, philosophy, psychology, and even its critics, because it claims the world is real, coherent, and redeemable. It does not fear investigation. It does not require retreat from matter or history. It insists that truth, wherever it is found, belongs to God. But reverse the order and the structure collapses. When Christ is removed, science loses its metaphysical footing and quietly turns into scientism. Meaning becomes preference. Truth becomes utility “trust the science”. The human person becomes an accident with opinions. What remains may still wear the language of science, but it no longer practices science as a truth-seeking discipline, but only as a tool of power and self-fulfilling ‘prediction’. Other systems can lean on Christ and function. Christ does not lean on them. He carries them. Science Is Christian
