Mother squirrel fight off a python to save her baby I have a little hard time digesting this video, as the snake does look like of a poisonous type. However, those never try to suffocate their prey. They just bite and kill it. I think the squirrel would have a much harder time fighting of one of those. So, this must be a python of some kind which is clearly suffocating the baby squirrel. It just does not look that way to me. I am not sure what to make of it.
