Banning books before they're even written; Controlling the media; Distrusting and censoring their own soldiers; vilifying dissenters; Destroying free speech and civil rights...this all seems so familiar. If only i could put my finger on it

Closing down or taking over anti-Nazi newspapers;
Controlling what news appeared in newspapers, on the radio, and in newsreels;
Banning and burning books that the Nazis categorized as un-German;
Controlling what soldiers wrote home during World War II.
