So there something been on my mind as late, I have looked everywhere online for answer but does not seem to be have asked. Is a desktop environment tied to the Ubuntu lts? Like is the desktop environment separate from the distro lts when updated or upgraded or are they integrated together? I currently run pop os 24.04 Lts with cosmic desktop environment or Epoch 1. So would I need to upgrade to 26.04 to enjoy Epoch 2 or 3? Or could I stay 24.04 lts and just upgrade to Epoch 2 or 3? Cause I don’t know if both are tied together or separate?
