I love how the Tech #Media has no idea how the #Fediverse works. There are going to be quite a few instances of #ActivityPub services that decide not to connect with #Threads. It's completely their choice as to whether they do or not. Some instances federate with no one even. Threads choosing to adopt ActivityPub won't make or break anything. What could break the Fediverse is the hubris of the instance administrators, but that's another story. As far as Threads actually going forward with ActivityPub integration? I'll believe it when it's out the door and in production.
