Earlier this morning, I was running a few errands when I noticed a large military aircraft circling the Scranton area. It seemed a bit odd, but then I remembered the Air Force Commemorative AirPower History Tour starts tomorrow (June 17-21, 2026). I may go check out some of the vintage aircraft tomorrow. This B-29 bomber is the aircraft I saw circling this morning. "FIFI", one of only two airworthy Boeing B-29 Superfortress bombers remaining in the world, will be at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport. B-29 Superfortresses were used extensively in WWII, exclusively in the Pacific Theater against the Empire of Japan.
