Samson, Saul, Elijah and the Prophets had the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ. There is no other “Holy Spirit.” All the OT Patriarchs and prophets were Christians. Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow. 1 Peter 1:10-11 “The Spirit of the Lord came upon Samson with power.” Judges 14:6 “When they came there to the hill, behold, a group of prophets met him [Saul]; and the Spirit of God rushed upon him [Saul], so that he prophesied among them.” 1 sam 10:10
