Alright, never posted in the group, but looking for advice. We’ve been looking for a new church after doing house church for a couple of years now. We have good friends that finally talked us into visiting their church. Our friends are Calvinist, and they know we are not. The church as a whole is not reformed, but the pastor and associate pastor are. The church is very welcoming and great scripture based preaching. We’ve really enjoyed it the last couple of months. I will be meeting with the pastor soon. This is my only concern, as I’m in the provisionist camp, I’m not willing to go to a “reformed” church, but I can get along with others that might hold to that view, as long as they aren’t “hyper” about it. Also, I’m an ordained Elder in a SBC, so I want to have that conversation with the pastor also, asking if he’s only looking to surround himself with others of the reformed camp or is he open to brotherly disagreements? Any advice from anyone? I don’t want to stir up trouble, only wanting to find a Bible based church to give my family stability within a church.
