And now we have some research showing that is one of the benefits of religious belief in God. Corollary: a decline in religiosity and an increase in secular areligiosity and atheism, as seen throughout the overdeveloped White West, will lower future time orientation and propagate "quick rewards" vices like greed and narcissism. I am not at all surprised that greed and abject indifference to the fate of one's posterity are hallmarks of a society that is losing its religion.
