What some aren't told is that ENERGY IS REQUIRED TO CREATE HYDROGEN. Where does this energy come from? Ready-to-use #electricity: mainly from 'fossil fuels'; some from #nuclear & #hydroelectric plants. Because of the invariable losses incurred when converting this electricity to hydrogen creation, it's MORE EFFICIENT and WASTES fewer resources to simply use the electricity from the other sources directly. The only so-called benefit is that this #hydrogen can be burned cleanly in cars in cities, while fossil fuel plants generate the energy required to create it outside of the city. Net result: MORE OVERALL POLLUTION, MORE RESOURCE USAGE, spread over an entire country. =================================== Another FAKE 'green energy' project CANCELED as costly #hydrogen failures continue to mount. Climate activists promised that green hydrogen was key to replacing fossil fuels in difficult-to-electrify sectors, brushing aside critics’ points wholesale.
