I know I should be grateful to have my engineering job, which I started six weeks ago after an 11-month hiatus after a layoff, but it sucks. I had to take over an uncommented, undocumented mess, and last week I discovered that my cut-and-run predecessor had run synthesis incorrectly and then had hidden it by adding fake chip inputs during test generation. Hopefully the spare logic and $money is available for the necessary ECOs!
