I have never felt that the feed quality of gab was that good, but no, I don't think it's an improvement now. Less bot activity but a lot less variety from real posters. Same echo chamber, less details. I can't see how it would be an improvement, unless you already used the weighted visibility from the existing pay to play benefits to build enough engagement that you don't need to worry about any new growth or outsiders. Read my update email from Torba, and it's just incredible that he wants us to believe they could not identify insta-gigabyte spam posters from legitimate "intermittent users". Every step of his cope involves revealing how they don't have the leadership or technical skills to handle the basic factors of their business. I don't believe these problems happened overnight, and I don't believe a long winded email that ignores half the legitimate criticism is proof of good intentions. I think that gab was failing as a social platform, and he reached a point where he couldn't be hide it any longer, and he thought he could avoid criticism with a dishonest approach.
