Raise your hand if DUSTING is your LEAST favorite household chore 🙋🏻♀️. I see you! However, those dust bunnies are more than just annoying. Dust is a magnet for chemicals and toxins in the home, which affect our health and ability to function at our best. Check out this article, which summarizes the findings from an investigation conducted by researchers from 5 institutions. Typical household dust was found to contain an average of 4️⃣5️⃣ chemicals. Ten potentially harmful compounds were found in 90 percent of all the samples studied. 😯 The authors described house dust as a “parking lot for chemicals in the home,” with small children being at higher risk because they crawl and play on the floor, and put their hands in their mouths. https://www.drweil.com/health-wellness/balanced-living/healthy-home/how-dangerous-is-household-dust/ So, annoying as it may be, regularly dusting your home with a damp cloth (I prefer microfiber) is one of six SUPER SIMPLE ways to reduce your toxic burden. I am discussing these 6 EASY strategies in my “Just Add Water” group, so if you’d like to learn more, join my group here: 👉🏼 https://www.facebook.com/groups/aprilsjustaddwater/?ref=share_group_link In the meantime, I’m going to cue up a good podcast and put my dust mitt to good use!
