You should be carefully watching what happens with Congress these next few weeks. They have to vote to prevent a government shutdown within the next day or so, and they have to vote on what to do with the debt very soon or the U.S. will default on its debt. Honestly, it's probably just wise to make sure that you have backup plans ready just in case.
