Dear Florida Patriot: House Bill 395, Protection of Historical Monuments and Memorials has been added to the State Affairs Committee Agenda, for meeting on 01/30/2024 12:30 PM, at Webster Hall (212 Knott). On 01/22/2024 the Senate companion bill, SB 1122 passed the Government Oversight and Accountability committee with a 4/2 vote. This bill protects our history from leftist activists seeking to destroy or limit access to our Southern storied past. This bill would impose penalties on local officials who removed or attempts to remove historical monuments. The goal of House Bill 395 is to enforce state protection of historical monuments and memorials and will authorize all actions to protect and preserve all historical monuments and memorials from removal, damage, or destruction.
