Communism seizes control of the means of production by: 1. taxing your income 2. taxing the services you buy, by forcing the companies to provide "free" services" or by hiding the costs (burying health insurance welfare in your employer "bennies" 3. co-opting the big corporations by knee-capping them at every opportunity and then offering them an out: establish INSERT-PARTY-NAME-HERE politics as "the default." Only No. 1 is easy for voters to understand. If we had an amendment that required all govt-mandated "free" services to be paid for out of taxes, people would finally get it.
