My biggest problem after cancer was myself. I was going through complete hell during and after cancer, yet still expecting perfection from myself and everyone around me, and surprise surprise not getting it. I was my own worst enemy. I constantly beat myself up because I should have done this better or should have handled that better, all while sweating out scan results, having recurrence scares and fearing that I was going die, and while watching friends I had made die slow and painful deaths when there was no cure for them. Sounds like a great time to expect perfection from yourself, right? If you're really in some dark places whether due to cancer or not, and want nothing more than to heal, and are willing to leave no stone unturned, and are willing to look within as much if not more so than pointing fingers externally, give this essay a read. Maybe it can help. It's helped others find their way out of the vicious cycle, but you have to want it more than anything in the world. #Cancer #CancerSucks #MentalHealth #CancerSurvivor #CancerSurvivorProblems #FuckCancer http://www.stevepake.com/cancer-blog/2015/8/13/10-important-lessons-on-life-love-and-forgiveness-after-cancer
