Six years ago this weekend, the original Testicular Cancer Summit. Praise the Lord for bringing so many amazing people together in a way that had never been done before. This was an event that I co-founded along with 40 year testicular cancer survivor, Ron Bye, as a way to bring as much of the testicular cancer community together as possible. Nearly 100 were in attendance, including several from the UK, and from as far away as South Africa. This event was greater than the sum of all its parts, and brought fighters, survivors, caregivers, advocates, and experts, including the legendary Dr. Lawrence Einhorn, the father of the cure for testicular cancer, together for an incredible and emotional weekend. I've always been proud of what was started and achieved, and grateful for all of the connections and friendships made, but will be forever bewildered about the aftermath. No regrets.
