There is no proof that DNA exists. Double-helix was a hoax from a schizophrenic jew. It's a religious symbol with no evidence reflected in cells. We know there is heredity. We know that somehow children inherit traits from their parents. At the cellular level or below, they do not know how or why. The closest thing they have are called DNA plasmids which allow them to transfer the capability to another cell how to grow a specific chemical like alcohol. Nothing else is known. There is nothing more advanced than that and it has not progressed since the 70s.
