I’ve come around a little bit on the Subject of A.I., Mostly due to the finale of The Boys. What exactly is the point of keeping Art, Literature, and Entertainment strictly the purview of living people if the only living people allowed to pursue Art, Literature, and Entertainment are the NPCs who perpetuate the mainstream narrative in all things? I haven’t become a champion of A.I. by any means. I still think it’s an insidious attack on human creativity and our ability to make a living being creative, which was already nigh impossible. But the Subsequent A.I. videos of Homelander Gone Wild has demonstrated to me why social-political dissidents are so enamored with it. It liberates them from the moral (and financial) impositions of the Hollywood Orthodoxy. And that’s something, i guess.
