The campaign targets Democratic nominee James Talarico as Republicans defend the seat being vacated by retiring Sen. Cornyn. Trump's endorsement helped Attorney General Ken Paxton defeat Cornyn in a May primary runoff. The ads argue Talarico favors higher taxes while claiming Paxton would deliver tax breaks to first-time homebuyers and families with children. "High Tax Talarico wants to take money out of Texans' pockets," a MAGA spokesman said. Talarico's team fired back that "billionaire-backed dark money groups are lying" about his record.
