Just got myself a brand new phone. I've been wanting a De-Goolaged (google) phone for ages. People say ditch your smart phone entirely, but that isn't practical for most of us in modern life. But what a lot of us want is to get away from #Goolag with it's terms and conditions simply to use the phone. Not to mention the constant spying as well as its ownership of the operating itself on your phone which they can update and change to their liking at will. So I got a Fairphone 4 from Murena https://murena.com It is using e/OS as the operating system which is just am opensource stock Android with all google stuff ripped out and a nice interface. The vast majority of android apps (including banking apps) work as normal. You can even have access to the play store (via a different front end interface with your google account or anonymously. I realise that most of us are not tech people and don't want to be installing ROMs ourselves, but want to just a buy a phone that works with it all up and running. Murena even provide their own cloud ecosystem if you wish to use it to replace such things as gmail, cloud storage, calendar etc. Phones are available from inexpensive to much more costly variants. The point is if you are tired and fed up like I was and wanted to get away from Goolag then here is a chance.
