"A 46-year-old man has been sentenced to eight years and nine months in prison after being convicted of the violent rape of a six-year-old child. At #StAlbansCrownCourt on Monday 22 May, a jury found Shakir #Rahman, of #CreightonAvenue, #StAlbans, guilty of the rape of a child under the age of 13. On Wednesday 12 July, Rahman received a custodial sentence of eight years and nine months, with an additional 12 months to be served on licence.
