John 19:31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. Notice in John 19:31 it says (for THAT sabbath day was an high day). Each day of the Passover week, 7 days, is a sabbath day. The middle day, or high day, of a week is Wednesday. A Friday crucifixion concocted by the Catholic Cult is FALSE because they think the only sabbath is on Saturday, but there are MANY sabbath days and most are not on the Sabbath of rest which is the last day of the week Saturday. Jesus said he will be 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the earth, Matthew 12:40 and he rose on the FIRST day of the week which is Sunday and for a Jew and a Jewish day is from sunset to sunset. Jesus kept the Passover because he is a Jew. He did not keep Easter which is a pagan Spring fertility rite of the rebirth of the earth from the dormant Winter.
