O God, Who dost resist the proud, but givest Grace unto the humble; grant unto us, we pray Thee, the true virtue of humility after the pattern wherein Thine Only-Begotten Son manifested Himself unto His faithful servants; that we may in no wise exalt ourselves to provoke Thine Anger, but serving Thee in all lowliness, may, thankfully, receive the Gifts of Thy Grace. Through the Same Our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who Liveth and Reigneth with Thee, in the Unity of the Holy Ghost, God, through all the ages of ages. Amen.
