It is hard not to be a prisoner of the moment, but I cannot remember everyone I know getting sick this bad for this long. My whole family has been fighting a stomach bug for an entire week. Half the people I know in real life got it just as bad. I have many friends out of state who have had the flu worse than they can ever remember. Is it possible that they destroyed the majority of the population's immune system and that makes us all vulnerable to viruses that would have otherwise been stopped dead in their tracks?
